I hunted the Wii. Then I decided I didn't want one and found five. Then I decided I would get it, so I stopped finding them. Then I decided I didn't want one and I saw another five.

"Cass, lets just buy it"
"No"
"Im buying it anyways"

That's the indecisive story of my wii (which is also the name of an adult documentary about a bisexual man).

I hunted the Wii like Ahab myself. My wife ended up getting me one on eBay.

Yesterday, I saw two in stock at Walmart.

This is how life works.

My wife hunted the Wii like Ahab for months in this town while I rolled my eyes: "Jesus, do we really need another console to stack atop the other ones we never, never use?" But I've been married long enough to keep my mouth shut. Eventually, when she did snag one, I was amazed at how cool it was and how much it drew non-gamers in. We had a party this weekend, and when the first guests arrived I left Mario Kart on as an afterthought; eight hours later, there were still people in the living room duking it out.

Of course I mentioned golf. Stoner. ;)

I didn't play golf much yesterday because the kids weren't into it. I liked it though. It's fun. The swing is a bit challenging but I suppose that's apt.

I'm getting pretty good at Bowling. You know who kicks ass though? My five year old daughter. She bowled a 176 this morning. She almost beat me. Geez.

I love the Wii and Wii sports! I believe I've mentioned that I just bought one not long ago.

BOWLING: If you enjoyed bowling I HIGHLY reccomend that you go into the Wii training area and play one of the bowling exercises. I forget what it is called, but the basic point is to see how many pins you can knock down. The twist? More and more pins come each time, and you get further and further away. You start with the typical 10, then 15, and it goes up to around 95. The sound hitting 95 pins makes is half of what makes it worth trying over and over again. Good times. As far as the plaaain bowling goes, I enjoy it but suck fairly hard.

TENNIS: Tennis is the one I come back to over and over again. I have mastered tennis. I love tennis. I own at tennis. There is really nothing more to it. I excel, therefore it must be fun. Want a good workout? Switch any and all of the CPU players to being Player One, effectively making YOU all 4 people in the game. There is nothing more confusing than trying to beat myself at tennis, yet I do it over and over again.

BASEBALL: Meh. The Wii Training games for baseball are essentially "see how many balls/homeruns you can hit" games. Those I enjoy. I think it's because when I play those I know there should be no point, versus the actual game of baseball that should be quiet tough but really isn't on the Wii. I actually HATE pitching. For the most part, you can throw a splitter everytime and the CPU (as well as my dad) will miss. Batting is alright, but as you said, there is no running or any sort of complexity to it. Overall baseball is very bland.

BOXING: Love it. Like with you, it was a fairly big physical challenge, but I constantly rose to it. I remember when I was younger and bought WWF Smackdown for the Nintendo64. I was known among my friends as a "button masher" because I knew that if I hit B over and over again I would usually win. This was my initial boxing strategy. Throw punches wildly and hope a good percentage of them land. Unfortunately, that doesn't work long. Strategies developed, my game got better. So did the computers. I only have one nunchuk, and I can't beat the computer anymore, so I've sort of given up on it.

GOLF: You didn't mention golf. There is good reason. If you aren't into golfing in real life, you won't be into Wii golfing. It is not like bowling where it toally transcends the real game. Personally, I enjoy it. I know this isn't true of most people (who I know).
